Twitter fitted Podcasts in the redesigned Spaces tab, where it’ll automatically categorize the content according to their nature. Users will be suggested both Spaces and Podcasts based on their interests and can be tuned by liking or disliking them.
Podcasts on Twitter
Though comprised of text and video, Twitter has long been a tweet-only platform. The company started venturing into the audio field after observing the rise of Clubhouse last year. And now, it started Podcasts, too, on its platform. Twitter has been secretly working on Podcasts for months and just confirmed that late last month. Now, as promised, the platform has added Podcasts to its redesigned Spaces tab, where users can find and listen to interesting podcasts and spaces with a simple tap.
now available in Twitter Blue Labs—members on iOS get early access to try the redesigned @TwitterSpaces tab, which includes podcasts, themed audio stations, and live + recorded Spaces (Android coming soon!) pic.twitter.com/l2YS5OaaVI — Twitter Blue (@TwitterBlue) September 12, 2022 The redesigned Spaces tab consists of both live and recorded Spaces from your subscribed accounts and now contains the Podcasts in a separate section too. These are further divided into other categories based on their nature, viz news, music, sports, etc. – for easy finding of the users. These, too, would be coming based on your interests, like the type of people you follow. You can allow tune these suggestions by hitting the thumbs up or thumbs down to let Twitter know about your experience. Twitter started rolling Podcasts to its Blue users on iOS now and will be rolling out to users on Android and desktop later. The company has been testing and rolling out a number of new features and security controls almost every month, even if it’s strangled with a war against Elon Musk over its acquisition deal.
