The S21 Ultra was the first non-Note phone to support the S Pen but having a separate case was inconvenient, especially when it inevitably meant having to store it somewhere. According to reports, the new Ultra has some design modifications that are expected to address this particular problem. It will be wider, allowing for the stylus to fit. Moreover, the corners of the device will be less rounded than the S21 series, although the Notes are not quite as square as the S21 series. Although the Note20 Ultra has to accommodate a stylus in its frame, Ice writes that the phone’s battery capacity will still be 5,000 mAh (500 mAh more than the Note20 Ultra) thus matching the S21 Ultra. There are few reliable details available regarding the S22 launch (likely to occur in January 2022). The Galaxy S22 Ultra will be followed in the second half of 2022 by a Galaxy Fold 3 with S Pen support.
