The existing model of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is one of the most popular adventure bikes among the various ADVs but with a drawback of a slightly lower throttle. The company is looking to overcome the issue with the upcoming Himalayan and is said to present a completely new avatar. Let’s get into details.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: What to expect?

With a codename K1, the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will arrive with a new 450cc liquid-cooled motor comprising one cylinder. It will produce a peak power of 40bhp and a torque of 45Nm which is quite higher than the existing 24.3bhp and 32Nm combination. It is also said to couple with a six-stroke gearbox. The Himalayan 450 will boast a ride-by-wire throttle system to offer three riding modes – rain, road, and off-road. The latter off-road mode will switch off the ABS system on the rear wheel. The upcoming RE bike will run on a 21-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel; expected to house tubeless rubber. The fuel tank capacity will be 20-litres. While the RE Himalayan 450 is making headlines yet it will debut later next year. Also, experts on the matter believe that the company will discontinue Himalayan 411 after launching the new Himalayan 450.
