Realme GT 2 Pro VS OnePlus 10 Pro: Pricing in India

The OnePlus 10 Pro arrived a few days (in India, of course) before Realme GT 2 Pro, and both the devices have distinct pricing. Talking about the OnePlus 10 Pro, it has two storage trims at 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB. The pricing for both these trims is INR 66,999/- and INR 71,999/-. On the other hand, the Realme GT 2 Pro with the same storage trims has a price tag of INR 49,999/- and INR 57,999/- which gives the latter a massive price difference, to begin with. If you have an inclination towards pricing, Realme GT 2 Pro is a sureshot winner. Although the OnePlusfa 10 Pro is impressive, it is way more expensive than the Realme counterpart. Read ahead to know more.

Realme GT 2 Pro VS OnePlus 10 Pro: Design

The OnePlus 10 Pro gets a premium design much like its predecessors. OnePlus has used glass on both front and back with a 3D nanocrystalline ceramic lens cover at the back. The device has a rather Samsung Galaxy S22-like camera bump that blends with the side metal frame and looks truly imperative. Both front and back panels are curved, which makes them super easy to hold. There are tiny bezels at the front given the fact that the OnePlus 10 Pro is a flagship phone. Plus, there’s a tiny punch-hole cut-out on the top-left corner. The premium model has a power button plus alert slider on the right, a volume rocker at the left, a SIM tray, a speaker grille, and a USB Type-C port at the bottom. You can choose between Emerald Forest and Volcanic Black colorways with the OnePlus 10 Pro. Talking about Realme GT 2 Pro, it has a Paper Tech Master Design with a 100% recycled rear panel made up of Sabic bro materials. According to Realme, the OEM was able to reduce up to 63% per kilogram of carbon emissions with the switch. There’s a rectangular camera bump at the back housing the three sensors. There are two color options available here aka Green and White. If you don’t want to go with the green rear panel, you can still check out the super glossy Black variant. About the attachment placements, there’s a speaker grille, USB-C port, and a SIM tray at the bottom. The volume rocker and power button sit on the right. At the front, you get a flat display with a punch-hole cut-out and thin bezels. However, a curved display won’t have changed things a lot.

Realme GT 2 Pro VS OnePlus 10 Pro: Display

Realme GT 2 Pro gets a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED LTPO panel with a 120Hz variable refresh rate. It goes as low as 1Hz to 120Hz based on the refresh rate required. The panel supports a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut with MEMC and has a peak brightness of 1400 nits. There’s a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top as well. On the other hand, the OnePlus 10 Pro has the same screen size but with a Fluid AMOLED LTPO 2.0 10-bit 2K panel which is way more refined. It has a tiny punch-hole that doesn’t take away the essential screen real estate. The display has a 120Hz refresh rate as well which is super smooth thanks to the granular 1Hz to 120Hz variable support. There are 1300 nits of peak brightness as well.

Realme GT 2 Pro VS OnePlus 10 Pro: Processor

When it comes to the processor, both the phones have the most chipset at the same configuration and frequencies. You get an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with a max 3.0GHz frequency for superb performance on both models. There’s an Adreno 730 GPU that handles the graphics load while the storage is up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 with neither supporting any storage expandability. There’s up to 12GB of RAM on both devices. The distinction is with the OS. Realme GT 2 Pro uses a Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12 while the OnePlus 10 Pro gets an OxygenOS 12.1 on top of Android 12. The latter is available with ColorOS 12.1 in China though so if you have that unit, good luck trying an Oppo phone.

Realme GT 2 Pro VS OnePlus 10 Pro: Camera

Specs-wise, the Realme GT 2 Pro sports a triple rear camera setup. It includes a 50MP primary shooter with OIS, 1.0micron pixel size, multi-directional PDAF; a secondary 50MP ultrawide snapper with 150° FoV; and a 3MP microscope sensor with AF, 40x magnification, and f/3.3 aperture. It can shoot up to 8K@24fps and maxes at 240fps for 1080p recordings. There’s a 32MP front-facing camera on the device with a 0.8micron pixel size and f/2.4 aperture. Talking about the OnePlus 10 Pro, the device packs in a triple camera setup as well. This includes a 48MP primary sensor with OIS, laser AF, multi-directional PDAF; an 8MP secondary telephoto sensor with OIS, PDAF, 3.3x optical zoom; and a 50MP f/2.2 150° ultrawide snapper. The rear camera setup is calibrated by Hasselblad just like its predecessor. It can shoot up to 8K resolution with 24fps and maxes at 1080p@240fps. The front-facing shooter on this beast is a 32MP module with f/2.2.

Realme GT 2 Pro VS OnePlus 10 Pro: Battery

The battery pack on any smartphone is a major deciding factor. I wouldn’t buy a beast of a phone with a tiny battery where it caps on how much you can do and pretty much kills the purpose. Both the devices have a 5,000mAh battery onboard where Realme is using a SuperDart 65W while OnePlus uses an 80W SuperVOOC charging tech. To be honest, both are almost the same with a few minutes of difference. Along with that, OnePlus has equipped the 10 Pro with a 50W AirVOOC, so wireless charging is path-breaking as well. For comparison, Realme GT 2 Pro lacks any wireless charging capability. Now that the battery pack is sorted, it depends on how the processor and the OS manage its output over time.

Realme GT 2 Pro VS OnePlus 10 Pro: Connectivity

Talking about the connectivity features onboard both the flagship phones, you get pretty much the same thing. There’s Bluetooth v5.2 (with aptX HD, LE, and A2DP), dual-band Wi-Fi 6, dual-band GPS, and NFC on both models. There’s no 3.5mm headphone jack on either of the devices. Also, OnePlus has upped its game with a USB-C 3.1 port while GT 2 Pro is stuck on Type-C 2.0. Both the phones sport a stereo speaker setup, there’s an under-the-display fingerprint scanner. Comparatively, the OnePlus 10 Pro has a few additional features such as a barometer while Realme GT 2 Pro shines in the GPS connectivity as it pretty much covers all the GPS systems available in India.

Realme GT 2 Pro VS OnePlus 10 Pro: Verdict

Finally, we are at the verdict between the two flagship phones. Truth be told, both the devices are top-notched with almost identical specs in many departments. If your sole intention is to buy a flagship phone at a cheaper price tag, Realme GT 2 Pro is the one that you should go for. The OnePlus 10 Pro is a tad bit expensive but it kind of justifies the pricing with its luxurious and premium look, faster battery, better and curved display tech, and a few other things. You can go for the OnePlus 10 Pro if you can flex your budget a bit whereas Realme GT 2 Pro is a sure-shot winner in the pricing game.
