Oppo Air Glass: How it works

Oppo’s Air Glass is a monocle, which means it is single-glass for one eye usage. However, it can be affixed to your own spectacles thanks to the magnets present within the frame. Now, onto this 5-lens display which works by the principle of a waveguide and optical data from the Spark Micro Projector’s micro LEDs. This information will be presented in 16-level as well as 256-level grayscale with up to 1400 cd/m2 of luminance. This screen comes shielded by sapphire crystal glass against scratch. The various data that Air Glass supports are navigation routes, teleprompter, live translation, phone notification sync over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and attending calls via the built-in speaker and dual-microphone setup. Oppo Air Glass: Price and Availability

Oppo will be releasing the Air Glass in Black (full-frame) and Silver (half-frame) colors and two different sizes. It will have limited availability in mainland China in Q1 2022. The company is yet to reveal the pricing details. In related news, the company has also showcased a retractable camera phone, Air-to-air charging tech, and MariSilicon X NPU sandboxed platform for photo and video processing.
