The crown jewel 3080L comes with 8 memory channels, up to 16GB 256-bit GDDR6 memory, a max clock speed of 1710MHz, and a thermal range of 80W to 150W+. The lower end GPUs within thin and light laptops will be based on the third-gen Max-Q technology. This means Nvidia is using AI for optimizing both the heat and performance of its slim laptops. These Max-Q lappies come with Dynamic Boost 2.0 for per-frame power management, Whispermode 2.0 for nearly silent gameplay, DLSS, and resizable BAR (which is an “advanced PCI Express technology that enables all of the GPU memory to be accessed by the CPU at once”). The new GPU targeted at enthusiasts in the budget comes with 12GB of 192-bit GDDR6 memory, resizable BAR, Nvidia DLSS, Nvidia Reflex, and Nvidia Broadcast.
