The spy shots of the 2023 five-door Mahindra Thar have been shared by a moto-enthusiast Anand B (moto._tourer) through Instagram Reels.

The 2023 five-door Mahindra Thar appears to keep its look to the fore when compared with its three-door relative. The circular headlamps are separated by a six-slat grille and it seems to sport a bulky bumper, a raked windshield, and fender-mounted turn indicators. The rear of the Mahindra Thar will have a high-mounted stop lamp, a rear bumper with reflectors, a squared tail light, and a spare wheel mounted on the tailgate. The A-pillar-mounted ORVMs and five-spoke alloy wheels are also visible in some earlier spy shots. Well, in comparison to the existing three-door Thar, the new model is deemed to be more powerful. Though it could offer the same six-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. The company’s officials have earlier revealed about upcoming Mahindra Thar to build upon the newly launched Scorpio N‘s platform with 81% more high-strength steel than the Thar 3-door variant. It is also believed to get Scorpio N’s peta-link suspension but could miss the 4×4 system as standard to make it more accessible. Nevertheless, the 5-door Thar will get a bang from Force Gurkha and Maruti Suzuki Jimny which are also in production for their 5-door variant.
