Huawei Smartphones: Production Reduced by 60%
The reports of reducing the supply chain by more than 60 percent come from Nikkei Asia. It says multiple suppliers have stated that the brand aims to order supplies for components of about 70 to 80 million smartphones in 2021. Earlier, Huawei company was a tough competitor to Samsung as it was running fast to become the largest smartphone maker. But, in 2019, the US government applied a ban on the company, affecting the US business. However, in September 2020, the company became hit when TSMC was forced to stop their business with the Chinese firm. As without TSMC chip, the brand had cut its Kirin-chipset division. And then their own chipsets were given even with the ban. As without Kirin-chipset, the company was in a tough situation. Last year in November, they took one of the biggest steps to reduce its costs, and it was selling the sub-brand Honor. And then Honor was back in the market without any problems in the US. However, if we talk about the Huawei upcoming release, the company is all set to launch Mate X2, a foldable smartphone successor. Apart from this, the company is also planning to come into the gaming part by bringing gaming notebooks and a gaming console. As per the reports, the company’s first gaming console might be named “MateStation,” which could launch in China and PS5 and Xbox Series X in the second quarter of 2021. Before releasing the gaming console, the tech giant may launch a new line of gaming laptops.
