How to use Street View on Google Maps on Android and iOS?
Step #1: Launch Google Maps as you usually would. Step #2: Search for a place of interest or anywhere at all assuming that you are visiting cities that are covered by Google Maps as of now. You will find a list of cities where Google Maps Street View is available below.
Step #3: Tap or drop a pin on any place and you will get all the details about the place including photos and so on. Step #4: You will spot a thumbnail just above the information card labeled “Street View”. If not labeled, it will have a ‘360° arrow’, click on it. Step #5: Bingo, now you are using Street View on Google Maps and you are free to roam wherever Street View is available. Step #6: Click on arrows on the screen to move forward and backwards in direction.
How to Use Street View Layer in Google Maps on Android and iOS?
Step #1: Launch the Google Maps app on your phone. Step #2: Find the place where you want to access Street View. Let’s say I want to view the area around Gateway of India, Mumbai. Step #3: Next, tap on the ‘Layers’ icon on the top-right corner which reveals several layers such as Traffic, Transmit, Street View, etc. Step #4: Tap on “Street View” and Google Maps will show you exactly where the Street View is available in Blue color. Step #5: Zoom in to fine-tune the search where Google Maps has drawn blue-colored lines to show which roads are covered exactly. Tap on any road that you want to enter the Street View with. Step #6: Google Maps will automatically enter a split screen view giving you information on the street view as well as where you are heading in a map view. You can check out the example in the image below. Step #7: Finally, tap on the full-screen option on the street view, and voila, you have entered a full-screen street view on Google Maps.
