Apple Watch to get Blood Sugar Measurement Support
Already Apple Watch has many health-related features like electrocardiogram (ECG). And now another feature is likely to come in the Apple Watch Series 7. This Blood Sugar monitoring feature will be so helpful for diabetic patients. According to the reports from Telegraph, the SEC filing indicates that Apple will add glucometer in the upcoming Apple Watch. For all diabetic patients, this feature will be helpful as they need to check their blood sugar before extracting the blood to get a sugar level reading. At present, the blood sugar level process is costly and lengthy, as the user has to take blood for every test and then dab it onto a test strip and then insert it into a glucometer to check the results. However, we will wait for Apple’s official announcement on how the company will come up with extracting the blood and using the strips. If Apple brings a nice solution to this step, it will boost the sales of the upcoming Apple watch. The company is also looking to add other sensors to measure alcohol and blood pressure levels. No official confirmation is out yet by the tech giant; these are just speculations. As of now, Apple offers monitoring blood oxygen level (SpO2) and ECG. So, if the reports are true, it will be great to see the next edition getting support for the glucometer.
